Saying yes to endless meetings, feedback sessions, or performance reviews that lack meaning—and being in an environment where speaking up or disagreeing isn’t valued or tolerated—are clear signs of a toxic organization. These practices only serve to maintain the status quo. True innovation and progress come from welcoming outside perspectives and questioning initiatives. Feedback should never be used to punish or retaliate but rather to help people improve. And endless meetings—or meetings about meetings—are often just ways to appear busy rather than actually getting things done.
