Companies are struggling with embracing a hybrid workplace. They fail to intentionally reset how people work by treating it as a temporary Band-Aid.

Many organizations want to recreate the 9-to-5 schedule by dictating how many days people should be in the office. They end up missing the possibilities of a flexible workplace. On the other hand, some companies lean too much toward flexibility. They provide their employees with no guidance and expect them to figure everything out on their own.

Hybrid is challenging to do right. It requires a lot of experimentation and adjustments to avoid turning into the worst of both worlds: remote and in-person.

In this post, I will explain why flexibility and discipline go hand in hand to thrive in a hybrid workplace. You can't have one without the other.
