While the potential solutions that you shared seem interesting, have you considered the sustainability impact. Pods like the one Nespresso uses create a lot of waste, not even to mention drones delivering customized coffees around the city.
I have to challenge you praise for Nespresso. The quality of the coffee can be compared to that Starbucks -which sucks- but not the espressos you can drink in Italy.
Second, the machines are not that cheap. You can get a real powerful espressos machine for $200. Either way, when you state that the Nespresso machine price is low, you are not considering their business model. Similar to printers, Nestle doesn’t make money selling the machine but the pods. Which, by the way, is much more expensive per serving than using fresh beans from Lavazza or Illy.
