What happened to the US basketball team in the 2004 Olympics took everyone by surprise. The “Dream Team” was humiliated by the Puerto Rican underdogs. Having infinite resources including top individual stars like Tim Duncan and LeBron James wasn’t enough for the U.S. team to overcome a more inspired and cohesive opponent.
