The pandemic was a wake-up call: belonging is not a nice-to-have – it’s hardwired into our DNA.

Social isolation can be as distressing as hunger or physical pain.

A strong sense of belonging increases job satisfaction, cuts turnover by half, and accelerates business success.

Belonging is essential, but how can you create such a culture?

This is my framework for belonging – the results of years of research and hands-on experience with hundreds of teams.

At the heart of it is the idea of having a shared identity. My framework focuses on four essential aspects: feeling welcomed, being trusted, caring for one another, and feeling valued.
