One Question to Ask Your Team
Before you speak in a meeting, ask yourself: “Am I adding value or just noise?”
One Thing to Try This Week
Don’t bury the lead. Start with your most important point first so your team gets the message immediately.
Use the BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front) technique:
Headline: State the key message.
Explanation: Follow with details or context.
Example:
Headline: “We need to cancel the event. The venue is unavailable.”
Explanation: “We explored alternatives, but there’s not enough time to secure a new venue. Let’s brainstorm a virtual option instead.”
