A question unique to the US. Everywhere else we we just getting on with Diversity in the workforce as no big deal and almost always a strength. Two decades ago it was the nonsense about Gays in the military. Again it was a question only asked in the US. Is it the puritan history?

I agree that many DEI initiatives miss the mark by focusing too much on superficial diversity and not enough on encouraging real conversations. True inclusion comes from engaging with diverse ideas and viewpoints, not just filling quotas. The issue is that if we don't intentionally hire those who challenge us or make us uncomfortable, we risk creating a homogeneous environment that lacks true diversity. It’s about making space for people who bring something different to the table, even if it’s uncomfortable at times.
