Every decision that matters, every push for alignment, every idea you want the board to say yes to is won (or lost) in a conversation. Your ability to run them determines the outcome.

Conversations are the foundation of collaboration. Done well, they make a team smarter than its smartest person. Done badly, great ideas die in silence. And so do early warnings.

That’s a problem, because most leaders are bad at them. Not at talking. They can talk all day. They struggle with the harder part: running a conversation where a team actually thinks together.
