I agree with all of this, especially the point about specificity. Ask for help, yes, but if you don’t have clarity and intentionality around your ask, it’s easy to get bad help!

This is a great work. The tension between building a culture of helping and your advice to "say no more often" to make "yeses" mean something really stood out to me. That balance is very important, but it's hard to do in "nice" organizations because of cultural differences.

What do you think is the best way for a leader to say "no" in a healthy way without making the team feel like they can't talk to them?
